The Best Little Dog Shop in Devon

We believe The Lyn Valley Dog House is the West Country's finest dog emporium, stocking treats, accessories and toys for the discerning canine customer, sourced locally and from environmentally conscious providers wherever possible. As well as this online store, you'll find our physical shop in the Lynton Old Quarter, in the pretty coastal town of Lynton, North Devon.

Meet Mrs Dog House

Hi, I'm Jacquie. A few years ago my husband and I made the move to this beautiful part of Devon, bringing our own dogs with us, and it wasn't long before I noticed a gap. Lynton and Lynmouth had visitors and locals alike bringing their dogs on holiday and on walks, but nowhere local stocking the kind of natural, thoughtful products I wanted for my own dogs. So I opened the doors of The Lyn Valley Dog House, and it's grown from there into something I'm genuinely proud of.

Our Shop

The shop is split across two rooms. One is home to our deli style Barkery, our ice cream range, and Dexter's Pantry, our own bespoke dog food. The other is our boutique, stocked with ethically sourced and locally made products for dogs and their humans. We also offer a spa and grooming service with Beth, so your dog can be pampered as well as spoiled with treats.

Welcome Boxes

I work with several local accommodation providers to create welcome boxes for their furry visitors. These boxes are bespoke to the specific accommodation and we collaborate closely with the owners to provide a box that will meet the needs of their clientele.

Award Winning

We're proud to have been recognised with the top spot for retail at the North Devon Business Awards, and to have been named in the UK Top 100 Small Business list by Small Business Saturday and Mastercard. It means a lot to be recognised alongside businesses of that standard, especially as a small independent shop.

In Memory of Dexter

Two years ago, we lost Dexter. He has left such a hole in our lives and we still can’t believe he has gone. However, he is very much a part of the shop with The 3 Jacks (me, and my two JRT’s), our in-house range of collars and leads, and Dexter’s Pantry.

Sian Jewell

Partner in Crime

It's impossible to give Sian a traditional job title. Originally joining us to give Mrs Dog House some cover on Saturdays, she now works at least two days a week, sometimes more. Sian really loves dogs and as well as having a great knowledge of their likes and needs, she's always ready to greet our doggie customers with some love and fuss.
